Textbooks or original materials
I like reading some well-known textbooks on the fields I am intereted in in that it is based on some serious scientific research and its credibility is assured by the eminent authors of those books, in other words, it is one credible source of knowledge you need.
However I recently realize that the spark, the inspiration, and the completeness of the thought presented in the original materials are seriously damaged in the textbooks after they have been accomodated in the those books, at least they are not so impressive as they used to be, which I suppose may be the most important. Some great ones can also do that, but given the fact that the textbooks have to consider the balance among different disciplines and follow some “textbook patterns” to meet the need of ordinary people, it is almost a collection of dry and boring fact.
My idea here is trying to find the principles in the works of the guru, then putting them into practice to test them, only in that way you will learn. It is a process of rediscovering the truth. And the frame will becoming more and more detailed. You should never expect that you have all the tools prepared to handle the problem.
Getting astray again, _
